| Ernest Henry Wilson, a British botanist collected more than 4,700 plants and more than 85,000 vegetation specimens in western Sichuan, a province far west in China, during the 11 years between 1899 and 1911, some of which later became very popular plants in current western gardens. SichuanAlpine releases some of his pictures on his exploration to Western Sichuan in 1908 to commemorate this great explorer. |
